CA$H Greater Portland, an initiative of United Way of Greater Portland, is a partnership of community leaders and industry experts helping you find ways to increase your income, reduce debt, save for the future, and achieve financial stability. CA$H (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) is a year-round resource, offering free tax preparation to qualified filers during tax season; helping employers bring financial education tools to their employees; and educating hard-working families and individuals about programs in the community that make the most of your money.
Since 2004, CA$H has helped 4,632 households:
- Save $810,600 in income tax preparation fees
- Apply for $8.24 million in federal and state tax refunds
- Receive $2.37 million in federal Earned Income Tax Credits
